STONY BROOK, N.Y. - Lafayette softball dropped both its games against Stony Brook on Tuesday afternoon. The Leopards fell 8-0 in the first game and 4-1 in the second game.
The Leopards (9-16) dropped their first game 8-0 in five innings with freshman Jordan Parsons recording the lone hit, a single up the middle in the fifth inning.
Ali Henry pitched three innings in the loss, giving up all eight runs and walking one.
Lafayette was able to hold Stony Brook (15-11) to four runs in the second game. The Leopards connected on three hits in the loss. The lone run came when freshman Madeline Allen hit a sacrifice fly to right field to bring home Cody Kugler.
In the loss, Emily Noel pitched three innings, giving up one run while relief pitcher Christine Hilcken pitched the final three innings and gave up three runs.
