EASTON, Pa.- Lafayette (8-14, 3-4) opens its second go-around through Patriot League action in a five-way tie for third place in the conference standings. The Leopards welcome Holy Cross (4-17, 3-4) for a 1 p.m. tip on Saturday at Kirby Sports Center. Lafayette lost the first season meeting to Holy Cross, 75-70.

The Leopards are shooting 78 percent from the free throw line and are ranked 10th in the nation (as of Jan. 30). Lafayette has converted 322-of-417 from the stripe led by a 114-of-136 (84%) seasonal clip from Jared Mintz. Jim Mower is converting 39-of-44 (89%) while Ryan Willen is hitting for 81 percent (68-of-84).

In the past four games, Levi Giese has blocked four shots, including a career-high three blocks vs. Lehigh.

At 3-4 in Patriot League play, Holy Cross sits in a five-way tie for third place. The Crusaders (4-17) have dropped games against Bucknell, American, Colgate and Lehigh while beating Army and Lafayette through the first round of conference play.

Holy Cross' leading scorer is junior guard Devin Brown (13.8 ppg, 1.9 rpg), a deft shooter and solid free throw shooter (68-of-83 for 81%. Brown is joined by junior transfer (St. John's) Mike Cavataio who is averaging 7.9 ppg and 5.4 rpg.

Senior guard Andrew Beinert, who had 21 points against the Leopards in the first meeting, leads the team with 81 assists (3.9 apg) and has started every game. Senior forward Andrew Keister (11.5 ppg) is the Crusaders' top rebounder, and is third in the Patriot League with 7.5 rpg. He came off the bench in the team's first meeting but has started 17 of the 18 games he has played. R.J. Evans, an all-league caliber player, has seen action in eight games but appears to be out for the season.

The Leopards hit the road for two league games against Colgate on Feb. 9 and Navy on Feb. 12.
