Diane Seely paced the Raiders with nine kills, while Kaylee Fifer had a match-high 25 assists. Lexi Finger and Caitlin Cremin finished with 14 digs apiece.
Colgate came out of the gate with a 5-0 run to start the match, causing the Leopards to fight an uphill battle from the start. In set two, the Leopards found themselves trailing, 7-1, to start. Lafayette cut the lead to five, 14-9, on a kill from Manzi, but Colgate went on an 10-1 run to take game two, 25-12.
Volk started the third set with a service ace and Giangiobbe smashed a kill to give the Leopards an early 3-2 lead. The Raiders went on a 10-2 run to take control of the third game. Back-to-back aces from Volk and a kill from Manzi cut the Colgate advantage to two, 14-12, but another run from the Raiders closed out the set, 25-14, and the match, 3-0.
The Leopards are back in action on Friday night when they host Navy at 7 p.m., followed by a trip to Hamilton, N.Y. to take on the Raiders.
