Lawrenceville, N.J. - Maddie Peabody's career night led the Leopards to a 66-48 win over Rider on Tuesday night. Peabody finished with a career-high 16 points, knocking down a career-best four three-pointers.

The Leopards (3-1) led throughout the game and had four players finish in double figures for the first time this season. Linnel Macklin (13), Emily Homan (13) and Jamie O'Hare (12) all joined Peabody with more than ten points, while Macklin's six assists also tied her career-best.

Homan knocked down an early jumper, but was forced to the bench just two minutes into the game, as the team's leading scorer picked up two quick fouls. The Leopards responded as threes from Peabody and Ashley Lutz pushed the Leopards ahead, 10-4 three minutes into the first half.

At the 15 minute mark a turnaround jumper from Harriet Ottewill-Soulsby stretched the lead to 14-6. Back-to-back triples from Peabody pushed the advantage to 26-12 with nine minutes to play in the first period.

Peabody knocked down her fourth three-pointer of the contest to increase the Lafayette edge to 15, 33-18 with two and a half minutes to play. O'Hare hit from distance on the next possession and the Leopards led by as many as 18 in the first period and went into the half with 39-22 lead.

In the first half, Lafayette had ten assists on 12 made field goals. The Leopards also held a 20-15 lead in the glass. Peabody also knocked down four three-pointers in the opening period to lead all scorers with 14 points.

Homan opened the second half with the first four points for the Leopards. Macklin's triple from the top of the key gave Lafayette its largest lead, 46-25, with 17 and a half minutes to play. Peabody knocked down a pair from the line for her 15th and 16th points of the night, breaking her previous career-high, 14 points, which happened last season against the Broncs.

Lafayette continued to control the game, as O'Hare drove baseline for an easy lay-in, making it a 53-32 advantage at the ten-minute mark. With 6:33 to play, O'Hare moved into double figures with a three-pointer from the corner. The Leopards continued to lead and went on to take down the Broncs, 66-48.

The Leopards knocked down 8-19, including 6-10 in the first half, from beyond the arc, and outrebounded Rider, 46-38. Lafayette handed out 16 assists on 22 made field goals, while forcing the Broncs into 18 turnovers.

Lafayette continues its two-game road swing on Friday night at No. 11 Louisville.
