The Leopards moved to 12-14 overall and 5-10 in Patriot League play, while Holy Cross improved to 12-16 this season, including an 8-7 mark in conference action.
Maddie Peabody joined Homan in double figures with 11 points. The Crusaders were led by Emily Parker's double-double (10 points, 11 rebounds) and Raquel Scott's 15 points.
Scott scored the first nine points for Holy Cross to help the Crusaders open a 17-9 advantage with 11 minutes to play in the first half. Five straight points from the charity stripe for the Leopards cut the deficit to three at the 10-minute mark.
A 9-0 run from Holy Cross pushed the deficit to 26-16 with six minutes remaining in the half. The Crusaders extended their advantage to 15 late in the half. Jamie O'Hare knocked down a three, followed by a floater from Peabody to trim the deficit to 10 and Holy Cross took a 36-26 lead into the break.
The Leopards opened the second half with five straight points, a layup from Homan followed by a three from O'Hare to cut the spread to five with 18:30 to play, forcing a Holy Cross timeout. Back-to-back jumpers from Homan made it 38-37 with 17 minutes left.
O'Hare dumped the ball in to Homan for an easy basket to give Lafayette its first lead since the opening minutes. After a Holy Cross bucket, Brya Freeland drove and found Harriet Ottewill-Soulsby on the block to tie the game at 41.
