Oct. 31, 2016 CHANDLER, Ariz. - Amanda Magadan and Katelyn Arnold of the Lafayette field hockey team were named to the Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division I Senior Game roster on Monday afternoon.
The game will take place at Old Dominion University on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2:30 p.m.
Magadan and Arnold are just two of the total 38 senior student-athletes who were selected to participate in the game. They will be joined by a pair of other Patriot Leaguers, Natalie Konerth of American and Amanda Cassera of Boston U.
"I'm thrilled for both Amanda and Kate to be recognized by other coaches in the country," Lafayette head field hockey coach Jennifer Stone said. "They are extraordinarily deserving of this special honor and opportunity to play with the best seniors in the country. A big congratulations to them both and I look forward to seeing them represent Lafayette on the national stage."
Magadan, a standout midfielder for the Leopards, capped off her senior season as the team's leader in goals (8) and points (18). The Randolph, N.J. native played in every game since arriving on College Hill as a freshman and tallied 24 career goals and 57 points. She was named All-Patriot League Second Team as a sophomore and First-Team All-Patriot League following her junior campaign.
Arnold was a stalwart for the Leopards, playing in 47 games over her four-year career. During her time in the Maroon and White, she recorded 207 saves, five shutouts and 18 victories. In her final year, she posted two shutouts and tallied 75 saves with a 2.67 goals-against average. As a junior, she was named All-Patriot League Second Team.
