She excelled in Patriot League play, hitting for a .346 clip while making just one error in 99 chances at second base. The Economics major maintains a 3.50 cumulative GPA and was a Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection her freshman season. Sweigart was named the Patriot League Player of the Week on April 11 after hitting for a .538 average as Lafayette took the Holy Cross series 2-1.
The 12-player Academic All-Patriot League softball team was voted on by the League's softball sports information directors who could not vote for their own student-athletes. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 and be a starter or key reserve. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
