EASTON, Pa. –The Lafayette College volleyball team jumped out to a 10-5 lead in the fourth frame after taking the third set, 25-17, but ran out of steam to fall to Lehigh on Saturday at
Kirby Sports Center in four sets.
Lehigh (19-7, 8-6 PL) got off to a fast start, claiming the first two sets before the Leopards (5-21, 0-14 PL) came charging back to command the third, 25-19.
A day after breaking the Patriot League record for kills in a single match, freshman
Leanna Deegan had another strong showing, tallying 17 kills with six digs and an assist.

Grace Tulevech was also in double figures with 11 kills and three blocks while junior
Katrina Ruggiero came off the bench to hit .375 going 7-1-16 with nine digs on the afternoon.
In the fourth and final set, Ruggiero was part of that fast start with three of her kills coming in the frame. However, the Mountain Hawks went on a 12-0 run to take back control and claim the victory.
The Maroon and White will wrap up the home schedule on Nov. 8 when Navy makes the trip to Kirby with first serve set for 5 p.m. before the regular season finale at Holy Cross on Nov. 10 at 4 p.m.
