EASTON, Pa.- The Lafayette men's lacrosse program announced Kevin Bromby '01 and Duncan Woodard '01 as the 2018 inductees into the Legends of Lafayette Lacrosse on Monday afternoon. The pair will be honored during halftime of Saturday's contest against Boston U. at Fisher Stadium, with a reception to follow from 3:30-6 p.m. in the Pfenning Alumni Center.
Bromby was a staple at attack for the Leopards from 1998-01. During his senior season, he finished sixth in the nation in goals per game and 13th in points per outing. Bromby also scored 42 goals, ranking him fourth in program history in single-season scoring.
His senior year performance was good enough to earn him a First-Team All-Patriot League selection. For his career, Bromby accumulated 114 goals and 66 assists, putting him fourth all-time at Lafayette in both goals and points.
Woodard was one of the best to ever play between the pipes for Lafayette's program. The goalie stopped 769 shots over his four years, ranking him first in program history.
Woodard had his best season as a senior, recording 229 saves in 2001. He finished 10th in the nation in save percentage that year (.611) on his way to the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year award. Woodard was also an All-Patriot League selection all four years.
The Legends of Lafayette Lacrosse ceremony is part of a packed weekend for the men's and women's lacrosse programs, celebrating their annual auction on Friday and Saturday. The event kicks off with a cocktail reception in Pfenning at 7 p.m. on Friday with a live auction to follow at 8:45 p.m. A silent auction will also open on Friday and remain open through Saturday as the festivities continue with tailgates and a doubleheader at Fisher Stadium.
All festivities will be held in the Wilson Room with perfect outdoor viewing of Fisher Stadium. Additionally, all proceeds raised will be split evenly between the lacrosse programs. For more information on the auction activities, click here.
