Lafayette (5-0, 0-2 PL) showed signs of life in the second and third sets as sophomore 
Audrey Mangum tallied back-to-back service aces in set two, which was a part of a 5-1 run. Loyola (5-9, 1-1 PL) would put out the fire and win the set.
The Leopards were led by junior 
Sonia Musso and freshman 
Grace Tulevech who each tallied nine kills. Tulevech recorded a double-double with 10 digs in the match and Musso came off the bench to go 9-2-23 hitting .304 with a service ace and a block.
Mangum tallied a career-high 18 digs to go along with her two aces as junior 
Julia Howard assisted 17 times to move three assists shy of seventh place on the all-time Lafayette assists list.
The Maroon and White will now hit the road for five-consecutive Patriot League road matches as they face off with Colgate on Sept. 28 and Army Sept. 29 to kick off the road trip.
