HANOVER, N.H. – The Lafayette College volleyball team dropped two matches on Saturday in the Dartmouth University tournament to the host institution and Siena in straight sets.
In the first match against Dartmouth (2-3), the freshmen duo of
Grace Tulevech and
Leanna Deegan tallied seven kills apiece to pace the Leopards (2-7).
Junior
Katrina Ruggiero was also productive with six kills and 11 digs in the loss.
In the final match of the day, freshman
Kelly Austin had a career-high with eight kills. Deegan added seven, while Tulevech recorded six in the loss to Siena (1-8).
Deegan's three-match performance was strong enough to garner all-tournament team honors as the Easton native notched 23 kills over the weekend. Â
The Leopards will return home when they host the Lafayette Invitational, Sept. 14-15 at
Kirby Sports Center.
