Men's Soccer Set to Take on American Saturday Afternoon

The Leopards are back in conference action after battling to a 0-0 draw against Stony Brook

*Lafayette tied Stony Brook 0-0 in double overtime on Tuesday night, earning just their second tie of the season. Sophomore Jack Cisneros made his first start in goal for the Leopards, recording his first collegiate shutout. The squad's record now stands at 8-3-2 overall and 4-1 in the Patriot League.

*American will enter Saturday's match with a 1-9-2 overall record and a 1-3-1 Patriot League record. Their sole Patriot League win so far this season was 1-0 victory over Holy Cross. They dropped their midweek contest on Tuesday to Mount St. Mary's 1-4 and have now lost two straight.

*Dating back to 1994, American holds the all-time series record at 2-13-6. The Leopards last win against the Eagles was November 11, 2012. 

*As of October 15 in the NCAA, as a team Lafayette is 10th in scoring offense (2.42), 9th in total goals (29.0), 26th in shutout percentage (0.5), 28th in won-lost-tied percentage (0.708), 11th in shot accuracy (0.491) and assists per game (2.42), 8th in points per game (7.25), 7th in total assists (87.0) and 8th in shots on goal per game (7.17). *As of October 15 in the Patriot League, Lafayette ranks first in total goals (29.0), assists per game (2.42), points per game (7.25), total assists (29.0), total points (87.0) and shots on goal per game (7.17). They are second in the league in shutout percentage (0.5), won-lost-tied percentage (0.708), shot accuracy (0.491) and shots per game (14.58). Individually Gibson and Kitromilides are second and third in total assists (5.0). Alex Sutton is second in saves per game (4.0), third in save percentage (0.774) and second in total saves (48.0). He is also second in the league in goalie minutes played with 1119:18.
