Men's Soccer to Battle Bucknell on Senior Day

The Leopards are set to play their final home game of the regular season on Saturday

*The Leopards are coming off a 2-1 loss to Drexel on Tuesday to wrap up its non-conference slate. Freshman Hale Lombard netted the only goal for the Maroon and White on Tuesday, off an assist from sophomore Will Echeverria. The goal was Lombards fourth of the season.

*Lombard is now tied with teammate and fellow freshman Yiannis Panayides for the most goals by a freshman this season.

*Bucknell wrapped up its non-conference slate on Tuesday with a 1-0 loss Cornell. 

*As of October 30 as a team in the NCAA, the Leopards rank 27th in total goals (31.0), 16th in shutout percentage (0.5), 24th in shot accuracy (0.473), 28th in assists per game (1.94), 34th in points per game (5.81), 20th in total assists (31.0), 27th in total points (93.0), 38th in shots per game (14.0) and 19th in shots on goal per game (6.63). Individually, sophomore Alex Sutton is 11th in shutouts (7.0).

*As of October 30 as a team in the Patriot League, Lafayette is first in shots on goal per game (6.63) and second in scoring offense (1.94), total goals (31.0), shutout percentage (0.5), shot accuracy (0.473), assists per game (1.94), points per game (5.81), total assists (31.0), total points (93.0) and shots per game (14.0). Individually, Sutton is third in shutouts (7.0) and senior James Gibson is second in assists per game (0.38) and in total assists (5.0). He is tied with teammate sophomore Marcos Kitromilides in total assists with five. Sutton is also third in the league in total saves (52.0) and senior Ryan Goncalves is third in game-winning goals (3.0).

*Lafayette currently stands in fourth in the Patriot League standings, putting them in a good position for playoff berth for the first time since 2012. The 2012 squad finished the season second in the regular season conference standings, winning the Patriot League tournament that season and then going on to fall to Virginia 1-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

*The team will honor this year's seniors, Chris Gomez, Christian Williams, Diego Comera-Tavarez, Colin Morrissey, Joey Gordon, Dylan Royalty, Ryan Goncalves, James Gibson and Adam Bramson, in a pregame ceremony before the game on Saturday.
