Roberts Added to Men’s Lacrosse Staff as Director of Operations

Clark University alumnus served as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator at his alma mater

EASTON, Pa. – Will Roberts has been named director of operations for Lafayette's men's lacrosse program, as announced today by head coach Pat Myers. Roberts' primary responsibilities will include assisting Myers with alumni relations, social media efforts, special events, on-campus recruiting, Leopards lacrosse camps and clinics, team logistics and both game and practice analytics.

"I am thrilled to welcome Will to the Lafayette lacrosse family," said Myers. "Will is a tireless worker, and is a perfect fit for the culture and foundation we are cultivating on College Hill. He clearly embraces the DMGB (doesn't matter, get better) mindset and our men will benefit greatly from having him join the program."

Roberts most recently served as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator at his alma mater, Clark University, where he helped lead the team to the NEWMAC (New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference) tournament semifinals. Roberts was part of the 2019 Clark coaching staff that saw head coach Jeff Cohen earn conference coach of the year honors and produce the conference's co-defensive player of the year. Roberts also coached a first-team all-conference goalie and close defender.

"The opportunity to work with an elite staff and historically significant program is amazing," said Roberts. "I have so many to thank for helping prepare me for this stage, specifically my loving family in Massachusetts and Maine, as well as Coach Myers for investing in my future. As for myself, the coaches, and the players - we're all in on Lafayette lacrosse and I'm excited to see what this family can do."

Roberts worked as an assistant coach at Worcester Academy in the spring of 2018. In this role, he facilitated individual player and team development and was responsible for in-game management and adjustments.

Roberts also has a variety of club coaching experience. He is currently an assistant coach with 3D New England and has coached with the Rising Stars Lacrosse Club and Team Central. As a freshman at Clark, he assisted the boy's lacrosse head coach at St. John's high school for the freshman, junior varsity, and varsity lacrosse programs.

A four-year member of the Clark University lacrosse team and a 2018 graduate, Roberts appeared in 61 career games with Cougars and served as a team captain as a senior. Roberts graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and earned a Master of Science degree in Professional Communications at Clark in 2019.
