BOSTON, Mass. – Lafayette Women's Basketball dropped its second-straight Patriot League game on Wednesday night, falling 47-40 to Boston University.

Drew Freeland bur the Terriers pulled ahead, 18-13, by the end of the first quarter.
The Terriers started off the second quarter with a six-point scoring run to put them up by 11. Lafayette started to stage a comeback with just under three minutes left to play in the half, off five points by both Freeland and Agnello to bring the score within four heading into the locker room.
Sophomore
Nicole Johnson continued the Leopards comeback attempt with a three-pointer at the start of the third quarter to bring the score within one. The two sides then traded buckets to keep the Leopards behind one, 31-30.
After the Terriers then went on an eight-point scoring run to push their lead out to nine, a three-pointer by junior
Sydney Sabino and a layup by senior
Alexis Santarelli brought the Leopards back within four.
Lafayette tried to counter the Terrier five-point run in the final 10 minutes but its last second efforts fell short.
Lafayette will stay on the road, traveling to Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday to take on Loyola.
