EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette Sports Network on Friday afternoon announced partnerships with SNY and regional NBC Sports networks that will expand distribution of select men's basketball games to reach new households during the 2021 campaign.
In addition to every men's basketball contest (with the exception of this weekend and next weekend's CBS Sports Network broadcasts against Loyola and Boston U.) being available this season on RCN and ESPN+, seven of those will also be made available on some or all of these new networks.Â
Lafayette's Jan. 10 contest against Bucknell aired live on SNY, which reaches approximately seven million homes in the New York Metropolitan area and nine million homes across the country. SNY will also pick up this Saturday's contest against Loyola and the Jan. 31 matchup with American in addition to February contests to be determined.
NBC Sports Philadelphia will air the Feb. 14 clash with Navy, while Saturday's Loyola game and the Feb. 6 rivalry meeting with Lehigh will appear on NBC Sports Philadelphia+. NBC Sports Philadelphia services more than 2.8 million subscribers in the greater Philadelphia area, New Jersey and Delaware.
In the Washington, D.C. area, Saturday's Loyola contest, as well as Jan. 23 vs. Boston U., Feb. 6 vs. Lehigh and Feb. 14 vs. Army will appear on NBC Sports Washington. NBC Sports Washington+ will carry the Jan. 31 contest against American and the Feb. 20 game against Bucknell. NBC Sports Washington is available on approximately 25 cable television providers throughout Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia, as well as parts of Delaware, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and West Virginia, and reaches more than 4.7 million households in the region.
Finally, the Leopards move into the Chicago market with games on Jan. 16, Jan. 23, Jan. 31, Feb. 6 and Feb. 14 all set to appear on NBC Sports Chicago. NBC Sports Chicago reaches 4.3 million viewers through Illinois, Indiana and Iowa.
