EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette College men's soccer team defeated Colgate, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at Oaks Stadium for its second Patriot League win of the season.

The Leopards were led by junior
David Mizrahi who totaled the Maroon and White's lone goal in the win for his first of the season. Senior
Andrew Venezia recorded the assist on Mirzarhi's goal. Three Leopards led the way in shots with junior
Yiannis Panayides, Mizrahi, and senior
Marcos Kitromilides each totaling two.

Lafayette (6-4-1, 2-1-1 PL) and Colgate (0-10, 0-4 PL) both came out playing strong defense. The Raiders were the first to fire the ball towards the goal in the 14
th minute of action but the ball hit the crossbar and the game remained scoreless.

12 minutes later, in the 26
th minute of the game, it was Mizrahi who broke through Colgate's defense and found the back of the net to put the Leopards up 1-0.

Lafayette had another good chance in the second half to make the score 2-0 off a shot by Panayides in the 67
th minute but the Raiders goalkeeper was able to make the stop and keep the game at 1-0.

From there neither side took a shot and, the Leopards walked away with the Saturday afternoon victory.

The Leopards are back in action on Saturday, October 9 as they are set to travel to Baltimore to take on Loyola Maryland at 5 p.m.
