*The Leopards head into a home-and-home series with American this weekend, after sweeping rival Lehigh last weekend to bring their record to 2-2. The sweep of the Mountain Hawks was the first regular-season sweep of Lehigh since 2006. 
*Friday night's match is slated for a 7:00 p.m. start in Washington D.C. and Sunday's match is set for 4:00 p.m. in Easton.  Both games will be streamed live on ESPN+. 
*Junior outside hitter 
Leanna Deegan was named the Patriot League Player of the Week this week. The honor marked the first Player of the Week nod for Lafayette since 2012 and the first weekly award since 2018 when Deegan was named the league's Rookie of the Week. She totaled 50 kills, 110 total attacks and 31 digs over the weekend, including a season-high 29 kills and 17 digs in Sunday's victory. 
*Deegan leads the way for the Leopards with 76 kills over the squad's four matches so far this season. Freshman 
Alyssa Vitale leads the team in assists with 80, freshmen 
Katie Weston leads the way in digs with 62, and freshman 
Gracie Gibson is at the top of the team in blocks with 17.0. 
*As a team, the Leopards are first in the Patriot League in assists (11.94 per set) and kills (13.06 per set), and second in service aces (1.75 per set). Individually, Deegan is second in the league in kills (4.75 per set), sophomore 
Grace Steurer is first in service aces (0.69 per set) and freshman 
Gracie Gibson is second in the league in blocks (1.06 per set). 
*Nationally, Deegan is second in kills per set (5.50), seventh in points per set (5.71) and 16
th in attacks per set (12.42). Sophomore

*American enters this weekend's series with a 1-1 overall record. After their first two scheduled matches against Navy were postponed, they split their home-and-home series with Bucknell last weekend, winning on Friday 3-1 and dropping a close five-set match, 3-2, on Sunday. 
*The Eagles are led in kills by senior Helena Elbeak, who has 49. Freshman Tyra Areskoug leads the team in assists with 51, senior Chiara Bosetti leads the team in digs with 40 and Allie Burke and junior Carlie Fikse lead the team in blocks with 9.0 each. 
*American leads the all-time series 39-0 since 2001. The Eagles swept the regular-season meetings between the two squads during the 2019 season.
