HAMDEN, Conn. - The Lafayette women's soccer team experienced a 3-0 setback to Quinnipiac on Wednesday at Quinnipiac Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium.
The Bobcats' Olivia Scott scored the match's first goal with just 2:12 off the clock. In the first two minutes of the second half, Rebecca Cook added two more goals to Quinnipiac's tally.
Quinnipiac led Lafayette in shots 14-4 and 9-2 in shots on goal. The Leopards finished the afternoon with four shots - one each from
Emily Coe,
Anna Garcia,
Katie Butler and
Lauren Cunningham.
Lindsay Dewar was credited with four saves and
Natalie Neumann had two.
Next up for the Leopards is the home opener vs. Drexel at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium.
