EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette College volleyball team earned its second-consecutive home sweep, this time topping St. Francis Brooklyn in straight sets (25-20, 25-18, 27-25) Tuesday evening in 
Kirby Sports Center.
 
The Leopards featured five players with at least seven kills, led by senior 
Leanna Deegan's 19 to go along with eight digs. Sophomore 
Alyssa Vitale helped out with a double-double that included 48 assists and 10 digs.
 
Freshman 
Abby Nieporte came off the bench to collect eight kills and sophomore 
Katie Weston had 11 digs, six assists and two service aces. Senior 
Grace Tulevech added 12 kills, hitting .524, while sophomore 
Gracie Gibson went 8-0-10.
 
Lafayette got off to a fast start, scoring the first four points of the opening set before going on to take the first two sets in commanding fashion. The Terriers jumped out to the early lead in the third set and led 16-11 before the Maroon and White scored six of the next seven points to tie the set at 17.
 
Lafayette scored nine out of its last 10 points via the kill, spread out between six different Leopards including Tulevech's game-winner.  
 
That was the final non-conference tune-up as Lafayette turns its attention to Patriot League play beginning with a trip to Colgate Saturday at 4 p.m. followed by a meeting at Holy Cross Sunday at 2 p.m.
