BALTIMORE – The Lafayette College volleyball team was defeated in straight sets (20-25, 20-25, 25-27) Saturday afternoon at Loyola.

Carol Ulichney was the leader in kills for the Lafayette attack for the second-straight day with nine while junior
Gracie Gibson added seven.

After dropping the first, the Leopards responded to score the first six points of the second set to force an early Loyola timeout. The Greyhounds would rebound to take the second and pull out a tight third frame.

Abby Nieporte each added five kills while Steurer had 12 digs.

Lafayette returns to College Hill, hosting American on Friday night at 7 p.m. before taking on Holy Cross Saturday inside Kirby Sports Center.
