PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Lafayette men's soccer team defeated La Salle 3-1 on Tuesday night.

The Leopards got on the board early when senior midfielder
Will Echeverria fired a throw-in to junior forward
Hale Lombard who headed the ball into the net. This is the third goal of the season that Echeverria has assisted to Lombard from throw-ins.

Sophomore forward
Lawrence Aydlett was the next Leopard to find the back of the net. In the 28
th minute, Aydlett finished a corner kick past the La Salle goalkeeper. Sophomore defender
Eoin Martin earned the assist.

 La Salle got on the board in the 51
st minute, making the contest 2-1.

Senior forward
Marcos Kitromilides was the next to connect with Echeverria for the third goal of the contest. Kitromilides leads the team with seven goals and Echeverria leads in assists with six. All of Echeverria's assists come from his long-range throw-in.

Senior goalkeeper
Alex Sutton made four saves while allowing one goal, while his La Salle counterpart Valentin Kneis recorded three saves and three goals against.

The Leopards will travel to Colgate for another Patriot League match-up on Saturday.
