HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Lafayette men's soccer team battled Colgate to a 1-1 draw on Saturday evening.

The first goal of the contest came in the 23
rd minute off of a rebound from a penalty kick. Senior goalkeeper
Alex Sutton made the initial save, but Colgate found the back of the net on the follow-up shot.

Senior forward
Marcos Kitromilides had the opportunity to even the score at 60:34, but he was swarmed by defenders at the goal line and could not find the back of the net.

Lafayette drew a corner kick in the final two minutes. Sophomore defender
Connor Dawson sent the ball into the box, connecting with junior forward
Hale Lombard for the equalizer. Lombard has five goals on the season, with two this past week.
The Leopards had 12 shots with six being on goal, while the Raiders had 10 with three on goal. Lafayette controlled momentum during the second half, taking seven shots to Colgate's three.

Sutton made two saves while allowing one goal. His Colgate counterpart Andrew Cooke recorded five saves and one goal against.

Lafayette returns to Oaks to face Loyola on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Homecoming match will also be the Alumni Game and Senior Day.
