EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette men's soccer team battled Loyola to a 1-1 tie on Saturday afternoon in Patriot League play.

Lafayette's nine seniors (

Sebastian Varela,
Marcos Kitromilides,
Max Ippolito,
Will Echeverria,
Jon Ford and
Zayn Botchway Daniels) were honored for the dedication to the program prior to kickoff.

Lafayette struck first in the 10th minute when junior forward
Hale Lombard found the back of the net off of a long assist from Kitromilides. The goal was Lombard's sixth of the season.

The Leopards held their 1-0 lead until the 86th minute when Loyola midfielder Albert Kang connected on a rebound to score the equalizer.Â

Senior goalkeeper
Alex Sutton recorded two saves and allowed one goal. His Loyola counterpart Alex Bobocea made one save and allowed one goal.
The Leopards host their final non-conference home match on Tuesday against Hofstra at 7 p.m. The match will be the VS.Cancer/ CURETHEKIDS.org® game.
