LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Lafayette cross country team competed in the Patriot League Championship on Saturday at Bucknell University. The women finished in eighth place, while the men finished in seventh.
Senior Bobby Oehrlein led the way for the men with a strong performance, taking home 11th place in the 113-runner field (25:06.7). With his strong finish, Oehrlein earned second-team all-league honors for the third straight year. Sophomore Emil Arangala finished in 45th place with a time of 26:06.2. Freshman Titan Casey (26.39.3) ended the race in 68th place followed by Sophomore Alex Gent in 80th place (27:06.2).Â
For the women, senior Becky Hartman led the way, taking home 30th place (22:14.6). Senior Rachel Hurley finished behind Hartman in 44th place, posting a time of 22:42.5. Freshman Elizabeth Borah ran a time of 22:47.7 in 48th trailed by junior Emma Lorey who finished 71st (23:34.6).
The team will compete in the NCAA District Championship at State College, Pa. on Nov. 11.
