EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette Leopards lost to rival Lehigh 1-0 on Saturday evening.
The Rivalry was a fairly evenly-matched battle with the contest remaining scoreless until the final minutes.
Lafayette controlled most of the momentum during the first half, recording six shots to Lehigh's three. Junior forward
Benji Grossi had a chance to put the Leopards on the board early in the first half, but the ball deflected off of the crossbar.
The second half was evenly-matched between the teams. Lafayette recorded four shots with one on goal and Lehigh recorded five shots with one on goal. Senior midfielder
Yiannis Panayides nearly put the Leopards on the board, but his shot found the crossbar along with Grossi's in the first half.
As the final minutes were winding down, Lehigh found the back of the net in the final two.

Lafayette travels to Philadelphia for the third time this season, taking on La Salle on Tuesday.
