LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lafayette College women's basketball team fell to the Bucknell Bison on Sunday, 68-40, in Sojka Pavilion to move to 3-8 in Patriot League action.

The Leopards were led by freshman
Abby Antognoli who totaled a career-high 17 points and senior
Makaila Wilson who chipped in with 11 rebounds. Sophomore
Makayla Andrews was the other Leopard to find herself in double-digit points, recording 11. Â Antognoli's 17 points led all scorers in the game.

Andrews put Lafayette (7-14, 3-8 PL) on the board first at the 9:42 mark in the first quarter and from there, the game headed into the first media timeout with the score still standing at 2-0 in favor of the Leopards.

Bucknell (16-6, 7-4 PL) put its first points on the scoreboard with 4:24 left to play in the quarter off an extra shot from the charity stripe to cut the Leopards lead in half and then took off on a 7-0 run to put the score at 7-2 in favor of the home team.

Andrews closed out the quarter with a layup to send the game into the second quarter with the score 7-4.

The Bison opened up the second quarter with a 5-0 run to push their lead to 12-4. Gallagher put in a three-pointer less than a minute into the quarter to cut the Bison's lead to five before Bucknell exploded for a 9-0 run to push its lead out, 21-7.

Ashley Evans cut the Bison's lead to 10 with 3:16 left to play in the half. The Bison then though put in seven more points to the Leopards' two, to send the game into the second half with the home team holding a 27-13 advantage.

Bucknell put in a three-point shot to start off the third quarter. Antognoli responded with a three-point shot of her own to bring the score to 31-16. The Bison put in five-straight points and then the Leopards responded with four straight points to put the score at 36-20 with 7:26 left to play in the quarter.

The home team extended their lead to 20, 45-25, lead heading into the final 10 minutes of action.

Antognoli and the Bison traded baskets, bringing the score to 57-31, until Andrews put in a layup at the 6:14 mark to bring the score to 57-33, Bucknell.

The Bison outscored the Leopards 11-7 over the final minutes of the fourth quarter to give themselves the 68-40 victory.

Bucknell had four record double figure points led by senior Marly Walls with 14. Junior Tai Johnson totaled 11 and both freshman Isabella King and junior Carly Krsul each totaled 10. Krsul also added 10 rebounds for a double double.

Lafayette returns to Kirby Sports Center for two games this upcoming week, as the Maroon and White are set to welcome Navy on Wednesday and Lehigh on Saturday.
