EASTON, Pa.- The Lafayette women's lacrosse team was defeated by the IWLCA-ranked No. 22 United States Naval Academy, 17-5, on Wednesday night inside Fisher Stadium.
Navy had two stretches of unanswered goals despite a fiery first period from the Leopards, which included the first goal of the contest. The Midshipmen took five straight in the first and nine unanswered goals between the second and third period.

. Abby Romano, Sara Rogers and Clare Culligan all scored one apiece for the Maroon and White. Romano also added one assist.
The Midshipmen totaled 17 goals, led by Reagan Roelofs with three goals and two assists. Charlotte Ryan, Leelee Denton, Lola Leone, Kasey Dietzel, Isabelle Thornburg and Gil Eby all tallied two goals. Lindsay Beardmore and Bobbie Haney each scored one apiece.
The Midshipmen had the advantage in shots (32-25), ground balls (20-13), draw controls (16-9) and clears (12-14 to 12-17). Navy was 2-4 in free-position shots, while the Leopards went 2-7.

Lexie Coldiron made nine saves in the loss, while her Navy counterpart, Jo Torres, made 11.
The Leopards will travel to Boston U. to take on the Terriers this Saturday.
