EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette men's soccer team continued non-conference play Monday night against Albany, defeating the Great Danes 2-0 at Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium.

Offensively, the Leopards were led by junior forward
Hale Lombard who scored two goals on two shots. Sophomore
Lawrence Aydlett added three shots while senior
Yiannis Panayides followed with two. Senior
Marcos Kitromilides and sophomore
Connor Dawson each recorded one shot.

Lombard found the back of the net at 30:34 off a throw-in assist from
Will Echeverria. The momentum from Lombard's first goal carried the Leopards into the second half. At 51:57 Grossi set Lombard up for a perfect header past Albany's goalkeeper Shafique Wilson.

Lafayette controlled the momentum throughout the game, recording seven shots to Albany's three.

Senior
Alex Sutton played all 90 minutes in goal for Lafayette, recording one save. His Albany counterpart, Wilson, made two saves while allowing two goals. Sutton was an integral part of the Lafayette offense, providing an 11th set of legs for much of the contest.

The Leopards travel to Emmitsburg, Md. on Friday to face Mount St. Mary's at 7 p.m.
