EASTON, Pa. – Freshman Ryan Schuster has been named the Patriot League Football Rookie of the Week for the second straight week.
 
The quarterback from Macomb, Michigan completed 10-of-15 passes for a pair of touchdowns on Saturday against FBS foe Temple at Lincoln Financial Field. He also carried the ball 15 times and picked up several first downs, but finished with one net rushing yard after being sacked eight times.
 
Schuster, a mechanical engineering major, also earned Rookie of the Week honors following a week one victory over Sacred Heart on Sept. 3. Schuster finished that game with 34 rushing yards, 18 of which came on a touchdown run in the third quarter for the only points of the game. His 22-yard scramble on 3rd-and-30 at the SHU 41-yard line kept the drive alive and he followed by converting a 3rd-and-17 with his scoring run. 
 
The Leopards return to action on Saturday, hosting No. 15/17 William and Mary at 3:30 p.m.
