BROOKLYN, NY – The Lafayette men's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest to St. Francis Brooklyn 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon.

The second half was a defensive battle for the Leopards, with the Terriers recording five of their eight shots. Lafayette had the opportunity to take the lead in the 78

Jon Ford finished a cross just wide of the net. St. Francis forward Khaled Abdella scored the game-winner for the Terriers in the 86

Lafayette recorded two shots, one of which was on goal. St. Francis recorded eight shots with six being on goal. Lombard and Ford each had one shot apiece for the Leopards.

Goalkeeper
Alex Sutton played all 90 minutes in net for Lafayette, making four saves while allowing two goals. St. Francis goalkeeper Flannan Riley also played all 90 minutes, recording no saves while allowing one goal.

The Leopards return to Oaks on Saturday when they host their first Patriot League opponent of the season, Holy Cross at 6 p.m.
