EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette women's soccer team fell 2-1 to Boston University in its first Patriot League match this afternoon at Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium.

Sara Oswald who rocketed a shot past Boston University goalkeeper Celia Braun, giving Lafayette a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, Boston University evened the score. Jenna Oldham placed a corner kick to the far side of the goal, which was then chipped in by Morgan Fagan, tying the match 1-1. In the 62nd minute, Amy Thompson gave the Terriers the lead. She stole a pass from a Lafayette player, immediately got an angle to shoot on goal and blasted a shot past Lafayette junior goalkeeper

Lafayette finished the afternoon with a total of seven shots, with one on goal. Boston University had 11 shots, of which six were on goal. Oswald and freshman
April McDonald both had three shots. One of Oswald's shots resulted in the Lafayette goal. Sophomore
Anna Garcia had one shot.
Senior goalkeeper
Natalie Neumann started the match for Lafayette and played the first 45 minutes, recording two saves. She was replaced for the second half by Dewar who also recorded two saves.
On Wednesday the Leopards travel to Bethlehem, Pa. for a match against rival Lehigh at 7 p.m.
