EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette men's soccer team was defeated by Patriot League foe Navy 1-0 on Wednesday night.

The Leopards dominated the first half with five shots while the Midshipmen had one. Neither team could find the back of the net as the first 45 minutes went by.

Navy struck six minutes into the second half when forward David Jackson found the back of the net for the Mids off of a pass from JD Wagner.

The Leopards finished with 10 shots in the contest but could not get the ball past the Navy goalkeeper. Junior forward

Alex Sutton did not have any saves and recorded one goal against. His Navy counterpart Pierce Holbrook made six saves and recorded a clean sheet on the night.

The Leopards will be on the road for their first game of October at Bucknell on Saturday at 6 p.m.
