EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette College women's basketball program and head coach
Kia Damon-Olson have released the 2023-24 schedule set to begin on Nov. 7 at Syracuse.
"We are focused on challenging ourselves this season and our 2023-24 schedule has a mix of quality opponents that will test our team while attempting to win championships,"
Kia Damon-Olson said. "We are returning a large group from last year's squad while adding four new first-years to College Hill."
The non-conference schedule features three home games at Kirby Sports Center including a match-up against Monmouth on Dec. 11.
The Leopards will open their season up at ACC foe Syracuse on Nov. 7. Four days later, Damon-Olson and her squad will travel to Johnson City, Tenn. to face East Tennessee State.
Lafayette's home opener will be played on Nov. 15 against MAAC opponent Marist.
On Nov. 18, the Leopards travel to New York to play against Long Island. The Maroon and White then return home on Nov. 21 for a game against NJIT.
To close November, Lafayette will be away from home twice. On Nov. 26 the Leopards face St. Francis and on Nov. 29 they will play Northeast Conference member UMBC.
Damon-Olson's team continues its stretch of games on the road, facing Big 10 opponent Rutgers on Dec. 2. This will be the second time the two programs have met in their histories.
Lafayette will face ACC member Notre Dame on Dec. 6.
The Leopards' final home game of the non-conference schedule comes against Monmouth on Dec. 11. This will be the programs' third meeting in the last six seasons.
Lafayette opens conference play against Army on Jan. 3 and then returns home for a two-game stint against Boston U. on Jan 6. and Colgate on Jan 10.
The Maroon and White will face archrival Lehigh twice in February on Feb. 10 at Kirby Sports Center and Feb. 24 at Stabler Arena.
The program's final home game of the regular season is Mar. 2 against Patriot League foe Bucknell.
Lafayette returns nine players while welcoming four newcomers to College Hill. Returners,
Abby Antognoli and
Makayla Andrews were named to the All-Patriot League Third Team last season. Antognoli was also named to the Academic All-League Team in 2022-23.
