Jamar Curtis ran for 204 yards in convincing win over Fordham on Saturday, garnering Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career.

The Waldorf, Md. native carried the ball a career-high 31 times for 204 yards, despite missing the previous week due to injury. His 40-yard run in the second quarter against Fordham pushed him past 1,000 rushing yards on the season, the first player to achieve the feat since 2014. In the fourth quarter, Curtis tore off a 72-yard run (the Leopards' longest play from scrimmage in 2023) and later finished the drive with a three-yard touchdown that stretched the lead to 14.

Cutis' 200-yard game was just the 12th in the history of Lafayette football and the second of his career. He stands at 1,167 rushing yards in 2023, a season removed from running for 465 as a rookie. Curtis closed out his freshman season with a flourish, carrying 10 times for 108 yards vs. Lehigh to earn conference rookie of the week laurels.

Lafayette (8-2, 4-1), which sits at No. 22 in the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll and No. 24 in the Stats Perform ranking, will travel to Lehigh on Saturday for the 159
th meeting of college football's most-played rivalry. The Leopards will be traveling to Bethlehem, Pa. with a Patriot League title on the line.
