EASTON, Pa.- Interim head coach
Ryan Mather and the Lafayette College volleyball program have welcomed five signees slated to arrive on College Hill for the upcoming fall semester.
The members of the Class of 2027 can be found below:
Ally Feczko, a 5-10 outside hitter from Wexford, Pa.
A four-year starter for North Catholic...a PIAA 2A state champion in 2019 and 2021 (semifinalist in 2020 and runner-up in 2022)... the WPIAL/District 7 2A champion 2020-22 and four-year section champion... totaled 1,132 career kills as the all-time career kill leader...member of the National Honor Society...a North Catholic Christian Leader Scholar...earned highest honor roll for multiple semesters...member of the service club and environmental club... has team experience with the Revolution Volleyball Club in Pittsburgh, Pa. under Dan LaBonte...daughter of Stacy and Mark Feczko... has a brother, Ryan, and two sisters, Elizabeth and Rebecca...brother, Ryan, plays baseball for Davidson College and sister, Elizabeth, plays volleyball for Villanova University.
Anna Van Wyk, a 5-9 setter from Denver, Colo.
A three-year starter for Cherry Creek who helped lead her squads to Centennial League championships in 2020-22 and a 2021 5A state champion...all-state honorable mention 2021-22...finished third in career assists with 1,550...collected all-state academic award in 2021-22...secured principal's honor roll status all four years...served as the president of Cherry Creek DECA chapter, managing a club of 300 members... 2022 DECA Role Play State Champion and double national qualifier...member of the National Honor Society... daughter of Meredith and Andy Van Wyk... father, Andy, played basketball and baseball at Colorado School of Mines...has a brother, Grant.
Emma Patmon, a 5-8 outside hitter from Round Rock, Texas.
A two-year starter at Cedar Ridge who earned AVCA All-America Third-Team and All-Region honors... ranked 11th in the state and in the top 30 in the nation in kills during her senior year...named to the THSCA All-State Super Elite team...garnered All-State First-Team laurels from TSWA…twice named All- Area form the Austin American-Statesman...broke school record with 601 kills in a single season during her senior year and led Cedar Ridge to the program's first playoff win in school history during her junior year...member of the National Honor Society...PALs mentor...has club experience with the Austin Skyline Juniors under Ben Keller and Jenny Luke in Austin, Texas... daughter of Shaun and Todd Patmon... has two brothers, Coleman and Tyler... brother, Tyler, played football at the University of Kansas and Oklahoma State, followed by five years in the NFL.
Irelynd Lorenzen, a 6-1 middle blocker from San Diego, Calif.
A four-year starter at Santa Fe Christian, helping lead the program to the 2022 DI CIF Champion... totaled more than 300 kills in 2022...earned All-League First Team and All-CIF Second-Team distinction…lanaded on the ACVA Phenom Watch List and All-American Watch List in 2022...received summa cum laude honor roll status in 2019-23...a California Scholarship Federation member…part of the National Honor Society... has club experience with Coast 18-1 under Ozhan Bahrambeygui in San Diego, Calif....worked in community medical clinics, built homes and helped in local schools during mission trips to Uganda in 2018 and 2022... daughter of Kari and Jonathan Lorenzen... has two sisters, Haidyn and Finley... mother, Kari, played soccer at Lee University.
Mackenzie Pitera, a 5-9 outside hitter from Lake Bluff, Ill.
A three-year stater at Lake Forest while helping guide squad to three regional championships...led the team in kills and aces her final two seasons... named as one of the top 100 players in Ill….garnered NSC All-Conference honors to go along with Academic All-State distinction...a member of the National Honor Society...earned honor roll all four years...served as director of communications for the school's executive board while also participating in the GIVE club...volunteered with Feed My Starving Children, Bernie's Book Bank and Beacons Place... has club experience with Sky High Volleyball under Caleb Haire in Lake Barrington, Ill.... daughter of France and Brian Pitera... has two sisters, Sydney and Ashton... father, Brian, swam at Albion College.
