EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette golf inks another commitment for the class of 2027 in Eli Myers. Myers will join the Leopards from Northbrook, Ill. where he attended Glenbrook North High School.
In high school, Myers managed all-conference honors during his junior and senior years. His team earned a first-place finish in the state tournament in his junior year and a third-place finish at states during his senior year. Myers also won the scholar-athlete award as a senior at Glenbrook North.
Myers has played in 81 events during his junior career thus far, including 19 first-place victories. At the 2022 Heritage Oaks High School Invitational, Myers took home first place after finishing four-under-par 66. Myers also managed a first-place finish in the MAJGT at Twin Orchard Country Club. Myers shot a four-under-par 68 at the 2020 WSGA Match Play Qualifier at Lawsonia Links to earn another first-place finish. In the 2019 Players Challenge at Countryside Golf Course, Meyers carded a 70 in round one and a 69 in round three to earn first place.
"His junior resume speaks for itself," said Lafayette golf coach Jim Hutnik. "Eli will be a great addition to our team, and we can't wait for him to join us on College Hill."
Myers is the son of Alan and Shelley Myers and has an older brother Evan, who plays golf at Texas A&M, and a younger sister, Alexis.
Myers will join classmates Hudson Pace and Winston Kellen-Blanc in the class of 2027.
