VESTAL, N.Y. - The Lafayette men's lacrosse team tabbed its second win of the early season, defeating Binghamton 10-4 on Saturday afternoon.

Junior attack
Peter Lehman tallied a hat trick and added two assists. Junior
John Mathes and senior
Ryan Duncan each contributed two goals, while Duncan chipped in an assist.

Binghamton had four different goal scorers put their names in the score book. Thomas Greenblatt, Nicholas Imburgia and Ethan Insinga scored consecutive goals as the Bearcats took an early 3-1 lead at the end of the first. Lehman netted the lone goal for the Leopards just under four minutes into the contest.

The Leopards scored four unanswered goals in the second quarter, with Lehman scoring two, junior
Kalman Kraham adding one and freshman
Nick Muller converting on a man-up opportunity. Lafayette held a 5-3 lead at the end of the opening half.

Lafayette opened the second half with an extra-man opportunity that carried over from the second, as Binghamton's Matthew Desouza earned a one-minute penalty with 31 seconds remaining in the half. Mathes capitalized on the extra-man opportunity, increasing the Leopards' lead to 6-3 with over 14 minutes remaining in the third.

Lehman, Duncan, and sophomore
Nick Rossi all found the back of the net in the third, giving Lafayette a 9-4 lead heading into the final quarter.

The Leopards' defense shut down the Bearcats in the fourth, earning four caused turnovers. Duncan netted the final goal of the contest at 8:27, solidifying the 10-4 final.

Senior defender
Sean Rushton led the Leopards' defense with seven ground balls and two caused turnovers, while chipping in an assist on the attack. Freshman goalkeeper
Joe Doherty earned his second career win and made 10 saves, while his Binghamton counterpart, Connor Winters, recorded 16 saves.
