The Matchup
The Leopards will travel to rival Lehigh on Friday where they will begin a four-game series at 3 p.m. The Maroon and White won the season series between the two schools last year, taking three of the five meetings. Lafayette leads the all-time series 216-167-2.
A Familiar Face
A.J. Miller '11 has returned to College Hill as the Leopards' skipper in 2023. Miller who is a 2011 Lafayette graduate was the 2011 Patriot League Player of the Year, a All-Patriot League First-Team selection and tied the Lafayette program record for home runs with 22. Miller was a Charles L. Albert '08 award recipient and received the Paul E. Koch '28 award during his time in Easton. After leaving College Hill, Miller went on to play professional baseball for the Normal Cornbelters of the Frontier League and the Lincoln Saltdogs of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball. He spent the previous seven years on the baseball staff at Lehigh University, holding titles of assistant coach, recruiting coordinator and associate head coach during his tenure.
Weekly Honors
Lafayette has won four weekly awards in the season to date. Most recently, freshman pitcher
James Reese was awarded Patriot League Baseball Rookie of the Week. Reese appeared in two games at High Point, recording a save and a win and striking out three. Junior
Blaze Fadio was named Patriot League Baseball Player of the Week and freshman
Ethan Swidler was selected as Patriot League Baseball Rookie of the Week for their performances at Southeastern Louisiana. Senior
Alex Walsh was named Patriot League Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his work on the mound against Davidson. These were the first weekly honors for the four members of the Lafayette Nine

The Leopards
The Leopards come into this weekend's series winning their quarterfinal Liberty Bell Classic game against Penn 6-5. In that game, Lafayette was led by freshman
James Aselta who went 1-for-4 with two RBIs, along with scoring a run and drawing a walk.
Chase Barley earned his first collegiate win for the Leopards, pitching two innings while surrendering only one hit and recording a strikeout.
Dylan Siesky recorded his first collegiate save for the Leopards, pitching a scoreless ninth.Â
The Opponent
Lehigh enters this weekend's series with a 11-14 overall record and a 0-4 record in the Patriot League. The Mountain Hawks are coming off of a loss to Villanova in the quarterfinals of the Liberty Bell Classic 9-7 on Tuesday. Lehigh is led offensively by Andrew Kohl and Casey Rother. Kohl leads the team in batting with a .352 average, along with seven home runs and 24 RBIs. Rother, a two-time Patriot League Player of the Year, is batting .330 this season with seven home runs and 30 RBIs. The Mountain Hawks are led on the mound by Luke Rettig, who has a 4-1 record with a 1.85 ERA in 24.1 innings pitched and 29 strikeouts. Â
