Box Score EASTON, Pa.- Senior guard Makayla Andrews led Lafayette with 16 points in an 80-57 loss against Holy Cross in Kirby Sports Center on Wednesday evening. Sophomore guard Sauda Ntaconayigize finished with nine points on 3-for-4 shooting from the field, while adding two blocks. 

Lindsay Berger, (16 points) Janelle Allen, (12 points) and Bronagh Power-Cassidy (12 points) all finished in double figures for the Crusaders who remained undefeated in conference action.

Holy Cross opened the first quarter with a 13-4 run to lead 17-8. The Leopards ended the quarter with a first collegiate bucket from freshman Brynn Beffert. Beffert finished the game with a career-high seven-points.

The visitors kept their momentum going in the second period. The Crusaders outscored Lafayette 29-12, while collecting five more rebounds (11-6). At the intermission, Holy Cross led 46-20. For the game, Holy Cross out-rebounded the Leopards' 36-23.

The Crusaders stretched their lead to 36 points at the 5:22 mark in the third quarter when Power-Cassidy buried a triple. Holy Cross put up 24 third-quarter points compared to the Leopards' 14, maintaining a double-digit lead heading into the fourth quarter, 70-34.

Lafayette's best quarter was the final one, outscoring Holy Cross 23-10 in the period. Freshmen Teresa Kiewiet, (five points) Tasha Chudy (three points) and Beffert all scored for the Leopards in the fourth. 

The Leopards venture to Lewisburg, Pa. on Saturday to take on Bucknell for a 2 p.m. tip-off.
