EASTON, Pa. – Sophomore guard
Teresa Kiewiet notched career highs in points (13) and assists (2) in Lafayette's 74-45 victory over Wagner on Sunday. She was one of four Leopards in double figures.

Kay Donahue (10) and Kiewiet all finished in double figures, combining for 48 of Lafayette's 74 points. This was the Leopards' first game of the season that featured four double-digit scorers.
Lafayette found an early 11-2 lead, courtesy of buckets by Antognoli (5), Smith (2) and Donahue (4). Kiewiet gave the Leopards a nice boost off the bench, dropping in five points in the first 10 minutes. Donahue tied her career high in blocks (3) in the first quarter, guiding Lafayette to a 22-12 lead.
Wagner hit a cold shooting stretch in the second quarter, scoring just two points on 1-of-9 shooting. On the other hand, Lafayette stayed hot in the second period led by junior guard
Sauda Ntaconayigize's eight points. Freshman guard
Talia Zurinskas also got going in the second, scoring four points on 2-of-3 shooting and dished out an assist. The Leopards posted a 17-1 scoring run to close out the half and to create some breathing room. The Maroon and White led 41-16 at the intermission and Smith led all scorers with nine points.
The Seahawks found some life in the second half, opening up the third quarter with a 12-4 run to cut their deficit to 15 points (45-30) with 4:54 to go. Julia Fabozzi was the key player in the quarter for Wagner, dropping in eight points on 3-of-6 shooting. Lafayette got back on track with buckets by guards Antognoli and Kiewiet, taking a 19-point advantage (53-34) with 10 minutes to play in Kirby.
The Leopards outscored the Seahawks 21-11 in the final period to garner their third win of the season. Sophomore forward
Tasha Chudy gave the Maroon and White their largest lead of the game (72-42) on a mid-range jumper with 2:54 remaining in the fourth.
Lafayette owned the battle on the glass, grabbing 12 more boards (45-33) than the visitors and Sunday's victory makes it two games in a row that Lafayette had nine or fewer turnovers.
Lafayette returns to action at 6 p.m. on Wednesday Dec. 18, by inviting Dartmouth to Easton.
