Abby Antognoli and
Makayla Andrews led Lafayette's offense Wednesday night in the team's 76-51 defeat at Loyola.
Kimmie Hicks, Laura Salmeron, Lex Therien and Kelly Ratigan all finished in double figures for the Greyhounds, posting 61 of Loyola's 76 points.

Kayla Drummond (nine points) and Andrews. Loyola fought back, but the Leopards' transition offense kept the Greyhounds at bay. After 10 minutes, the Maroon and White led 16-11.
The Maroon and White led 23-17 with 6:36 to go in the second quarter, prior to Loyola going on an 8-2 run to tie the game at 25 apiece. Antognoli then put the Leopards up by five points with a triple with just under two minutes to go. A late 6-0 spurt from the Greyhounds gave them their first lead of the game (31-30) after Lex Therien made a layup with two seconds remaining. The score held at 31-30 going into the intermission.
The third quarter favored the Greyhounds. Loyola scored 12 unanswered points to begin the second half, before Antognoli's mid-range jumper halted the hosts' run. The Greyhounds outscored the Leopards 30-6 in the period, shooting 85.7 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from downtown. With 10 minutes to play, Loyola led 61-36.
Both squads dropped in 15 points in the fourth period. Drummond and sophomore guard
Kay Donahue (six points) combined for nine points in the 76-51 final.
Ball movement and turnovers were telling numbers from the game. Loyola tallied 13 more assists than the Leopards (18-5) and the Greyhounds were also very efficient with the rock, turning the ball over six times while forcing 11.
