JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Lafayette baseball continued its weekend series with East Tennessee State on Saturday, falling to the Bucs,15-5, at Thomas Stadium.

ETSU's bats continued to stay hot in game two, as the Bucs jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the second inning, scoring on a sac fly by Cody Miller, RBI-singles by Nick Iannantone and Jamie Palmese, a two-run single by Cameron Sisneros and a steal of home by Tommy Barth. ETSU added another run to its lead in the third on an RBI-single by Ryan McCarthy, to make the score 7-0.

In the fourth, the Leopards' offense came to life, scoring three runs. Junior
Easton Brenner singled through the left side to start the frame and was followed by junior
Ben Petrone who drew a walk, putting two runners on for junior
Michael Zarrillo. Zarillo blasted his first home run of the season over the right field fence, to bring the score to 7-3.

The Bucs added to their lead in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI-double by Sisneros and a three-run double by McCarthy, to make the score 11-3.

Lafayette got a run back in the sixth, scoring on an RBI-ground out by senior
Blaze Fadio, making the score 13-4.

In the ninth, Lafayette responded with a run on an RBI-double by
Teddy Cashman, which made the final score 15-5.
Michael Harpster collected the win for ETSU, while sophomore
James Reese took the loss for the Leopards.
Lafayette is next in action on Sunday, when it concludes its three-game series with a 1 p.m. start.
