Both teams continued to battle in the early stages of the second half. Drummond tied the game at 36 apiece at the 6:27 mark in the third. Soon after, sophomore guard
Sauda Ntaconayigize (eight points) drained a triple to put Lafayette back in front (39-36). Junior forward

Lehigh began to push the pace in the fourth quarter, but the Maroon and White had an answer for each of the hosts' buckets. Donahue gave Lafayette its largest lead of the game (11 points) with 5:17 remaining, after going two-for-two from the charity stripe. McQuillen cut the visitors' lead to four points with 11 seconds left, but Donahue sealed it from the foul line. When the final horn sounded, Lafayette emerged victorious.
The keys to Saturday's contest were rebounding and shooting from downtown. Lafayette out-rebounded the hosts 41-33 and shot 33.3 percent from downtown. Lehigh took 34 three-pointers, but could only get nine of them to go (26.5 percent).
