WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to send the game to extra innings before capturing a 5-4 final on Sunday afternoon in game three of the Patriot League series.

The hosts got on the scoreboard in the first inning when Julia Farris managed an RBI-single off Leopard starter
Parker Rowden. Rowden held the Black Knights in check for the next two innings before giving way to
Jacqueline Cal. Rowden allowed just one run on three hits in her fourth start of the season.

The Leopards started their offense in the fourth. With
Mary Grace O'Neill aboard,
Megan Coyle blasted her third home run of the season to push Lafayette to a 2-1 lead.

Lafayette stretched its lead in the sixth inning.
Olivia Catalina and O'Neill both delivered RBI-doubles as the Maroon and White held a 4-1 advantage that the Leopards took into the seventh inning.

In the bottom of the seventh, Army rallied for three runs to knot the game at 4-4. Kayla Edwards, Ashton White and Lauren Little each contributed run-scoring singles to send the game to extra innings.

In the top of the eighth, the Leopards put
Regan Dillon on via a hit by pitch. Her pinch runner was cut down trying to steal second and the score remained 4-4.

In the home half of the eighth, Ellie Caldwell led off with a single. A sac bunt and a fly ball moved her to third base with two outs. That brought Edwards to the plate who legged out an infield single to end the game with a 5-4 Army final.

Cal took the loss, allowed four runs on nine hits over 4.2 innings. Amanda Eaglin collected the win and did not surrender a hit in the seventh and eighth innings.

The Leopards will be back in action April 20-21 when they travel to Lehigh for a three-game Patriot League series.
