EASTON, Pa. – Junior midfielder
Liam Sargent tallied four goals and an assist in the Lafayette's 14-9 victory over Le Moyne Friday evening at Fisher Stadium.
Lafayette got off to a hot start, gaining a two-goal lead in the first two minutes thanks to goals by junior
Riley Sullivan and senior captain

John Mathes scored Lafayette's final goal of the first quarter with 1:40 remaining, giving the Leopards a 3-1 lead after 15 minutes in Easton.
Both teams scored two goals apiece in the second period. At the 7:46 mark, senior attacker
Peter Lehman scored on a
Louis Baloh assist to give Lafayette a 4-1 lead. Just over a minute later Ryan Eisenmann rifled home back-to-back goals to cut the Dolphins' deficit to one goal (4-3). With 5:08 remaining in the half, Sargent reclaimed the Leopards' two-goal advantage with a goal. At the intermission, the Maroon and White led 5-3.
The Leopards opened the fourth quarter with four unanswered goals scored by Lehman,
Connor Freeman, Mathes and Cunniffe. Le Moyne responded with a two-goal run of its own, after Grooms and Nick Noel found the back of the net. To close the third quarter the Leopards scored three-straight goals, gaining a 12-5 lead with 15 minutes to play in Easton.
The Dolphins outscored Lafayette 3-2 in the final quarter. Sargent grabbed his fourth goal at the 12:47 mark, but Le Moyne responded with three-straight goals, now trailing 13-8. At the 3:26 mark, Cunniffe completed his hat trick with a 60-yard snipe. Le Moyne grabbed a late goal, but it proved to not be enough. When the final whistle blew, Lafayette advanced to a record of 6-6 on the year.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Joe Doherty made seven saves, while Dolphins' goalie Carter Ruhm tallied 10.
Junior
Evan Prince was dominant from the x, going 19-27 in the outing.
Lafayette returns home next Friday for a 7:30 p.m. faceoff against rival Lehigh.
