LEWISBURG, Pa. – Lafayette women's soccer battled Bucknell to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday at Emmitt Field.
In the first half, Lafayette recorded two shots, both by junior
Nadia Zaffanella. Neither shot by the Ellington, Conn. native was on goal. The Bison took nine shots in the first 45 minutes, with four on goal. Junior goalkeeper
Catherine Apker kept the Bison from scoring, making two acrobatic saves, the first in the 18
th minute and the second in the 37
th minute. The teams headed to the halftime locker room locked in a scoreless draw.
The Leopards recorded six shots in the second half, the best coming in the 83
rd minute as Bucknell goalkeeper, Reese Dolan, was forced to make a save in the bottom of left corner of the goal on a shot by Lafayette senior
Katrina Santelli. Santelli had two shots in the second 45 minutes, while senior

Heather Plowright and freshman
Era Methoxha each had one shot.
The Bison added eight shots in the second half, but neither team was able to find the back of the net, and the match ended in a 0-0 tie.
Lafayette finished the evening with eight shots, while Bucknell had 17. Zaffanella paced the Maroon and White with three shots.
Apker played the full 90 minutes in goal, recording six saves, Bucknell goalie, Dolan, also played 90 minutes and recorded a save.
The Leopards next travel to Boston U. for a match on Saturday at 1 p.m.
