EASTON, Pa. — Junior
Nadia Zaffanella has earned a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Women's Soccer Team announced on Wednesday.
Zaffanella made the 11-player Academic All-League Team in her junior season after excelling in the classroom and on the field. To be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or key player in their sport. Freshmen are not eligible.
Academically, Zaffanella has earned a 4.0 GPA while majoring in Economics. The Ellington, Conn. native also has secured two straight selections to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, in 2024 and 2023.
Athletically, Zaffanella has played 1,524 minutes for the Leopards during her third season on College Hill. She has started all 19 matches while scoring a team-best nine goals, recording an assist and tallying a team-leading 19 points. Zaffanella scored game-winning goals against Navy and Lehigh. The midfielder also was chosen as an All-Patriot League First-Team selection in 2025.
The program has earned 11 Academic All-Patriot League selections since the award was introduced in 2010.
Next up for The Maroon and White, they will travel to Boston U. for a Patriot League Semifinal on Thursday at 6 p.m.
