The Leopards found themselves down 10-9 before a Colgate attack error knotted the score. After Gouldrup's serve found the floor, Lafayette held a 11-10 score. The Raiders responded with a five-point spurt, with kills from Owens, Jordyn Moore and Milan Bayless to retake the lead (15-11). In the period, there were 13 ties and six lead changes. The final lead change came near the conclusion of the set. Colgate secured five of the last six points to win 25-22.
The Raider offense reignited in the final set, slapping down 11 kills alongside a .308 hitting percentage en route to a 25-14 third set win and a 3-0 victory.Â
