Mount St. Mary’s Outlasts Women’s Lacrosse

Leopards open the homestand next Wednesday in Fisher

EMMITSBURG, Md. - The Lafayette women's lacrosse team was downed by Mount St. Mary's, 14-6, during the Saturday afternoon snowstorm at the Waldron Family Stadium.

Freshman midfielder Andie Pedatella commanded the Leopards with two points overall. The opponent was paced by four goals and two assists from Anna Salerno.

Emma Elmen, Sadie Martiesian and Pedatella scored in the first quarter to tie the game 3-3. Pedatella's tally at 1:27 signified her first collegiate goal.

The Mount outscored Lafayette 3-1 before halftime to claim a 6-4 advantage at the break. Sophia Spallone was the fourth scorer of the day.

Pedatella netted her second of the game at 6:34 in the third quarter, followed up by Anne Madden's rocket at 4:52. The hosts earned another five in that time to extend the lead to 11-6 heading into the final 15 minutes of play.

The Leopards were held scoreless in the fourth quarter while Mount St. Mary's Anna McQuay added a trio of goals to close out the contest.

The Mount held the advantage in ground balls (19-17), shots (24-22) and clears (20-21 to 19-21). Both teams secured 12 draw controls.

Lafayette's senior goalkeeper Molly Terraciano made six saves, while her counterpart, Camille Thomas, made 10.

Next up, the Leopards open the 2025 homestand with Robert Morris on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
